PlotEdit

The stars in the skies have been taken from the planet Aries. It has been revealed that only one of royal blood can get them back. Learning of this Alex Kidd and his friend Stella jointly searching for the twelve signs of the Zodiac. The pair set out on a journey beyond space, time and imagination to return the stars of Aries to the constellation. Alex ventures far in outer space and defeats the evil creature Ziggurat.

GameplayEdit

Both the Sega Master System and Arcade versions are quite similar, aside from graphics and sound. The arcade version has a limited number of lives (three by default), whereas the Master System version has infinite lives, though being hit or falling into a pit subtracts seconds in the timer and backtracks the player to the last checkpoint in the round.

The arcade version is noteworthy for featuring a cooperative two-player mode, with the second player assuming the control of Alex's female counterpart named Stella. In all levels, the player is under a time limit, and as usual, if the time expires, a life is lost. Alex starts the game with nothing, but during the game, he can collect power-ups that give him extra time, and allow him to shoot enemies or jump higher.
